the mouthpiece and the reeds are of very low quality. however, you get what you paid for....! The sound is OK. not extremely accurate but will do. rather small, and fits comfortably within a backpack (which is what i wanted it for) overall, i'm happy with this piece. Thanks

Exactly as described. I’m a Sax player and I found it quite easy to get a simple tune out of it straight away. The note fingering is not too hard but the second octave would take some practice. All in all a good fun portable instrument that is inexpensive. It’s got everything you need out of the box.

As far as I can tell this is a genuine HiXing product. Despite reviews saying they couldn't get sound out of it, I find it quite good, the fault is their lack of preparation and perseverance. It's not like a recorder, as much, if not more, depends on the technique with the mouth to make the note as it does the fingering. I haven't tried the supplied reeds as yet, I'm using Rico 1.5 strength reeds as advised for students in many saxophone tutorials online. So far so good, it's taken a few hours, but I can already stumble through "When the saints go marching in", but it's my lack of skill with blowing a reed instrument that needs work, the fingering is not the problem.
